Long Island Nets Acquire Cliff Alexander

BROOKLYN (Jan. 31, 2017) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired forward Cliff Alexander from the Erie BayHawks in exchange for Long Island’s third round pick in the 2017 NBA D-League Draft.

Alexander (6’8”, 245) has appeared in 22 games for the BayHawks this season, recording averages of 11.9 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 24.5 minutes per contest. In 26 career D-League games with Erie (2016-17) and Santa Cruz (2015-16), Alexander holds averages of 12.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 24.9 minutes per game. He also appeared in eight games for the Portland Trail Blazers during the 2015-16 season after playing one collegiate season at Kansas (2014-15).
